I can't remember exactly when he switched from being an outright criminal to an anti-hero.

YW, Samantha, I'm just a fountain of useless GH info. I blame my mother for getting me hooked at the age of 11. After thinking about it, they made Sonny the 'good' criminal when he teamed up with Luke against Frank Smith, after the Karen/Jagger storyline. He was originally supposed to kill Luke and they bonded instead.

I worked today so I have'nt watched todays show yet. I'm going to catch it on soapnet tonite.

OMG Laura since last Thursday I have been on the edge of my seat. GH has finally kicked into gear. It feels like the MC Hostage story all over again and honestly that was the last time I felt good about GH. Kudo's to all the actors involved, but especially to you, Mo, Steve and Sarah. You guys are rocking it out of the park!!!! Mo blew me away on both Thursday and Friday's show simply WOW!!!!

you were not kidding when you said "it Rocks" it's been a wicked week so far and it's not even over yet. Going to miss seeing Sarah on the screen but so glad that you are still around and you character and her baby made it through.
