FOX Sports Detroit's postgame editions of TIGERS LIVE, RED WINGS LIVE and PISTONS LIVE are hosted by the Emmy-winning Mickey York.
From 2003-07 York anchored the network’s DETROIT SPORTS REPORT, preceded by three years as a correspondent for that show, covering all of the region’s professional and collegiate teams.
York – who won a Michigan Emmy in June 2008 for On-Camera Talent-Sports Anchor – has served as anchor or lead reporter on FOX Sports Detroit’s coverage during the Tigers 2006 run to the World Series, the Pistons participation in the NBA Finals, the Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Finals, Michigan State at the NCAA Final Four, and Detroit's hosting of the Ryder Cup, MLB All-Star Game and Super Bowl XL.
York came to FOX Sports Detroit in 2000 after four years as sports anchor/reporter at WEYI-TV (NBC) serving the Michigan cities of Flint, Saginaw and Bay City. His broadcast experience started as a reporter/producer on Detroit Pistons projects for Palace Sports and Entertainment.
York, a native of Mount Clemens, who moved to Lake Orion as a teenager, graduated from Central Michigan University in 1992. He resides in Clarkston with his wife Cassandra, daughter McKayla and son William.
