I don't mean to get so angry but when people get in here saying all this crap legislation is so great, I just can't stand it. If they want to practice philanthropy and anthropology, then they can use their own money and get donations. Heck, I would even donate to some of these things, but don't make me, my children, my grandchildren and ... Sure they will have healthcare but it will produce another whole generation dependent on it and will be let down and crushed just like myself and the generation before with the FAILED social security. It will be gone for sure by the time I'm old enough to use it. My own father has to fight every month to get his and he paid into it his whole life.

Wether we want them to or not, this congress is going to pass this if not now, soon. It's going to get them major kickbacks from the insurance companies and give them full control over all our lives and how we choose to care for our health. Next they will get control over our food, then they will take our 2nd ammendment ensuring they have complete ... Read Moretyranny over us all.

OpenCongress Here's a mashup using OpenCongress and Google Maps to show regional support for bills.

BillMaps is very easy to use but potentially very useful for those who like to “see” how something looks. Sometimes you can see something on a map (e.g. a trend) that would be difficult to detect just by looking at the text.

I think this is good idea. Any way OpenCongress could make maps of OpenCongress user locations with the same icons if they are in favor or oppose? No user names, just colored icon at zip code location. Be neat to see where people live that favor or oppose bills, maybe good for representative to make decisions too, just kidding about last part.

She would do her constituents a and everyone else not voting for the plan at all, especially the public option. Public option is a cop-out for the insurance companies. Socialist health care has never worked before, it won't work now. Nothing has changed. This administration is just a different wing on the same ugly bird.

It's almost funny that this is almost certainly "ammunition" to be used against the GOP, though the one Dem quoted said he wasn't sure where his staff got his comment from... Of course the fact that this happens all the time on both sides will certainly be completely ignored, as will the fact that GOP lawyers played a larger role in drafting the statements. And, lest we forget, Dems NEVER rally beneath a banner with a common message, do they... oh, wait.

The most non-sarcastic answer I can provide is, no. During the campaign Obama derided Clinton for proposing *mandatory* health insurance for every American and imposing fines upon those who did not purchase it. Not only does he completely support these ideas now, he also believes in making lack of insurance coverage a criminal offense, punishable by imprisonment.

What country did I wake up in this year? It is certainly not the United States.

Richard--Don't let Bill pull you into his straw-man accusations. The health care bill is not going to be instead of any wars, real or imagined, foreign or domestic. Why MUST we "change" into a non-Christian nation ? A non-freedom-loving nation ? Why MUST we fit into their strategies ? Let them stay Godless if they want to.
