In 2007, an Opium 3 original by Joe O'Neill, titled "Some Television Programs Taken to Their Logical Conclusions," was further immortalized when it was republished in Dave Eggers's Best American Nonrequired Reading anthology. O'Neill's piece is a priceless exercise in escalating hypotheticals. Read it in both places—and let us know which one makes you laugh hardest.
