Ozzy the ocelot gets cozy with a treat-filled pumpkin at the
annual Halloween at the Zoo event Oct. 31 at the OC Zoo in Irvine Regional
Park.

Orange County Parks Orange County Parks OC Zoo celebrated Halloween at the Zoo event Oct. 31. More than 1,300 visitors came to join in the fun. The day included children’s activities and animals got pumpkins filled with their favorite treats. The OC Zoo will celebrate Christmas Saturday, Dec. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. That day, animals will hunt for their treats inside Christmas trees.

Orange County Parks Starting Nov. 1, the fall-winter hours for regional parks are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Laguna Niguel Regional Park opens at 6 a.m. and will close at 6 p.m. Santiago Oaks, Peters Canyon and O’Neill regional parks operate on wilderness park hours. Wilderness parks and nature preserves open at 7 a.m. and close at sunset year round. Hours for OC Parks’ beaches vary, but are generally between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m.

Orange County Parks Google is taking nominations for places to ride their street view trike! Nominate your favorite OC Park! We kicked it off by nominating Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.

We're working hard to bring Street View to new places, but some interesting areas, like pedestrian malls and trails, cannot be reached by car. That's why we've created the Street View trike; a mechanical masterpiece made of 3 bicycle wheels, a mounted Street View camera, and a very athletic cyclist.
