I think it's great that you guys did this...what an awsome surprise. We adopted Whiskey in October, and he is the greatest animal we could ever ask for. He is great with the kids, and other dogs, he does tricks and he's so snuggly...we adore him. The only thing that I could ask for would be to get a bigger bed lololol....he's so funny and such a sweetie. Thanks to everyone who took care of our boxer.

I am very happy about the animals and their new-found humans. However, like Marylou, I think that this sends the wrong message to the general public. When I first saw news of this project in the newspaper, I was surprised and worried that it might trigger off impulse purchases of animals as Christmas gifts, from pet stores or "home" breeders. Even ... See Moreas a knowledgeable animal activist, I misunderstood the article at first, so less aware people certainly might have. I have no problem with the project itself - great idea! - but in future I would NOT involve the media. No need for publicity at all, none. Publicity could do harm. Keep up the good work, folks!

We adopted Dancer in Jan from OHS - he had a leg amputation too! Actually this month is one year to the date when his leg was amputated due to bad fractures. Dancer is doing wonderfully - absolutely fantastic. Doesn't slow him down a bit. And he's SO loving and happy. We're the lucky ones. .

A bill regarding animal cruelty has been in the works for years but never passed because all the ruling parties have stuck it in an omnibus bill. It would probably not ever pass because of western members who like rodeos. Write to your federal MP and bitch. It can't hurt to write.
