Ronald McDonald House Charities honored The Kelley Family and Outrigger Enterprises Group last night at its 2009 Gala. Receiving a standing ovation and a specially-made commemorative Hawaiian quilt, the organization hailed the Kelley Family as a strong advocate for establishing Hawaii's first Ronald McDonald House in 1...987 and providing rooms and lodging at its hotels for families of seriously ill children during medical emergencies. This partnership and legacy of giving has made it possible for RMHC Hawaii to never turn a family away since opening 22 years ago. A nice touch point in this season of giving. Meet Myra Kuboyama, our executive housekeeper. Her favorite Waikiki activity is takiing in the beautiful scenery on Outrigger Catamaran. For local grinds, she goes to Ezogiku on Kalakaua Avenue for weekly specials in addition to regular menu of Japanese noodles cooked in a variety of ways. I have stayed at Outrigger Reef approximately....8 times. It is our favorite place. I was there after the remodel and it is stunning. My favorite room was 1016... which is now I think a condo or suite. It is like home to me and my boys. They started going there when they were young and now are in college and we st...ill love going back. The shops are fun, the Shorebird is our favorite and it's just great to be right on the beach.
