EDMONDS, Wash. - PAWS Wildlife Center on Sunday released 11 Common Murres who were among the hundreds of seabirds rescued from the Oregon/Washington coast after being incapacitated by an algal bloom.

PAWS - Progressive Animal Welfare Society 11 Common Murres who were rescued after nearly freezing and starving to death b/c of an algae bloom, are now healthy and wild again!! A joyous crowd watched as PAWS Wildlife Center volunteers did the honors of setting them free. After two weeks of exhaustive care at PAWS, it was thrilling to see these seabirds return to where they belong.
