PAWS - Progressive Animal Welfare Society More background on our call to action for wolves by another Northwest blogger. As she points out, there is still time to make your voice heard to help maintain healthy wolf populations in WA: http://bit.ly/1ocFJG

EDMONDS, Wash. - PAWS Wildlife Center on Sunday released 11 Common Murres who were among the hundreds of seabirds rescued from the Oregon/Washington coast after being incapacitated by an algal bloom.

PAWS - Progressive Animal Welfare Society 11 Common Murres who were rescued after nearly freezing and starving to death b/c of an algae bloom, are now healthy and wild again!! A joyous crowd watched as PAWS Wildlife Center volunteers did the honors of setting them free. After two weeks of exhaustive care at PAWS, it was thrilling to see these seabirds return to where they belong.

PAWS - Progressive Animal Welfare Society Check out this fun treat for Thanksgiving, that also benefits animals! http://www.jonessoda.com/files/tofurky_2009.php

Some people are crazy for turkey around the holidays... others not so much. For those of you with veggie leanings, Jones teamed up with the good folks at Tofurky® to bring you a meatless option.

I can't imagine a thanksgiving without my tofurkey, but I'm not too sure how much I'd dig the gravy soda....sounds revolting.

gotta say, I tried the Jones Thanksgiving pack a few years back and they were all gross! They didn't even get pumpkin pie right, wtf?

Your problem, Sheri, is that you drank them rather than proudly display them on your mantle! Ironically, I'm pretty sure that the turkey flavor was vegetarian anyway. That's okay, though, because it's fun to say "Tofurkey soda"!
