Parenting.com Our blogger Evie asks: "Should I think about dating? I know there's no exactly right or wrong answer, but I'm wondering: Can you be separated and single at the same time?"

I was chatting with a friend yesterday about a new guy in our circle, and she said: "Hey, you're single for the moment, you should jump him. I would!" She said it in passing, and we were cracking jokes but the comment startled me.

I am right there with you Kelly. No sense starting something when you haven't finished what needs to get done.

I jumped into a relationship physically and mentally before my divorce was finalized and it ended up being the worst/best decision...worst because I wasn't ready mentally and had soooo much crap I was dealing with, but best because 1. it was an affirmation that I was still attractive and 2. I got a great friend out of the deal....fortunately for me... Read More we had been friends prior and he understood the situation having had gone thru it himself....but it is a very hard road to go down...if I had to do it again - I would have waited until everything was settled legally and mentally before jumping into something new. GOOD LUCK with whatever decision you make

I got a call from my oncologist, Dr. Mauro, a few days ago and my latest cancer test came back with a VERY WEAK positive. I capitalized very weak because I don’t want you (or my family, who reads this blog) to think this is anything to panic about.

finishing their leftover mac 'n cheese and dino-shaped chicken nuggets

Bremenn Research Labs’ Butt Lift in a Box: I’m intrigued by this little kit (though, so far, not enough to try it) which contains a “plumping catalyst,” a “lifting and firming emulsion,” and, last but not least, a special butt-lifting and toning program. I’m guessing that’s a regimen best done in a ...

Parenting.com We all see our discipline efforts backfire on occasion (hey, you're tired!), and of course there are those battles just not worth fighting (no kid ever flunked preschool because his teeth were furry). But you do need to prove you're the parent at least some of the time. Learning
to avoid these discipline land mines can help you hop to it.

You know the drill: You give your child an ultimatum -- "Get dressed or we're staying home!" -- and naturally she says, "Okay, we'll stay home!" Might as well plant a big "L" on your forehead.

Parenting.com Jason White’s addictive money blog, Frugal Dad, has grown into one of the largest personal finance communities on the web. Check out his guest post on our Family Budget Boot Camp blog and see why he thinks single mom Lori should hold off on her dream of going back to school.

Source: forums.parenting.com
"As a single mother, Lori can ill-afford to be choosy about job opportunities that pay relatively well, provide a stable environment, and some level of benefits for her and her kids. That said, she also can't afford to sell herself short or put her dreams completely aside because she is a single par...

Parenting.com Need to boost your stamina? These tips can't replace the basics we all strive for (eat well, sleep eight to nine hours a
night, & exercise regularly), but on the days when you have no choice but to compromise on
one (or all three!), they can keep your behind from dragging on the
pavement.

By the time you hear your child's early-morning stirrings, you've probably already worked out for 90 minutes, meditated for 30, and enjoyed a healthy, balanced breakfast, which of course included a low-fat pomegranate smoothie. Why, there's nothing left to do besides jog happily over to your beloved...
