Pass It Along Attention Youth: The Pass It Along Youth Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday 12/2/09 is being postponed until January. If you were going to donate an item for a teen for the toy shop, please bring it to our office or if that is not convenient, please bring it to the Sparta United Methodist Church on Sunday 12/13 between 2 and 7PM.
Pass It Along
This is a new toy drive to benefit Sussex County children. The toys are distributed at our toy shoppe that runs from December 14th-17th. This is our 8th year of helping local families in need. Last year over 1,550 children received 5 new toys each. With the economy in the state it is in, we anticipate more people nee...ding help this year than ever before.
We are looking for volunteers to serve in several different capacities this year. Everything from running a toy drive yourself, collecting new wrapping paper, baking cookies, being a volunteer shopper to assist the families in choosing toys when they come to the toy shop and helping to set up the toy shop and break it down.

Pass It Along
An annual day of service, held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Family Volunteer Day is designed to demonstrate the power of families who choose to volunteer together to support the communities in which they live and serve. Volunteering as a family provides quality time for busy families, strengthens communication ...and bonds and positively impacts local communities across the nation.
This day is presented nationwide by Hands On Network and Disney.
Pass It Alongs focus for this day is on people in need in Sussex County.
During this event over 125 people came out to serve. There were families serving together, Daisy Troops, Cub Scout Dens and businesses.
Volunteers baked 20 pumpkin pies to be given out to the familes they adopted for Thanksgiving. A total of 17 Sussex County families were given enough food to feed their entire family for the holiday, including a turkey.
20 batches of cookies, 20 hula hoops and several kinds of holiday ornaments were also made by the volunteers to be given out during the upcoming toy shoppe in December.
All excess food will be given to local food pantries.

Pass It Along
A homelessness awareness event sponsored by Pass It Along and Sussex County Interfaith Hospitality Network.
This event was promoted to teens to raise awareness of the homeless problem in Sussex County. Teens met with current and former homeless individuals and families as well as participated in experiential activiti...es in relation to homelessness.
The day/night turned into dampness and cold so some of the pictures are a bit hazy.

Pass It Along's 3rd Annual Wine Tasting fundraiser. This event was sponsored by Atlantic Imaging Group and the VIP Champagne Hour was sponsored by Printing Responsibly.
The evening was a success thanks to the many people who donated their products, time and money. We would also like to thank the Wine Library for provi...ding the wine and EveryThing HomeMade for donating the wonderful desserts!
A great big thank you to all the people who came out to this evening and enjoyed the wine, food and dancing!

Enjoy an evening of fine wines provided by The Wine Library, elegant hors d'oueves provided by Lake Mohawk Count...ry Club, delicious desserts provided by EveryThing HomeMade & dancing with The Captains of Leisure as well as a live & silent auction.
A sampling of some of this years auction items include: a NY Giants football signed by the team, a NJ Devils hockey puck signed by Zach Parisi, a diamond tennis bracelet, two PSP hand held games with a game each and a one year warranty as well as many other items. Tickets are $125 each for the Platinum Pre-Event at 6:30pm which includes a special Champagne Tasting, International Cheese Tasting and special raffle prizes.
