Patrick Rothfuss watched the second transformers movie last night. I blame all of you for not warning me beforehand.

Sorry, but I can't take any blame for this. I sent you a telepathic message, warning you not to look for a plot in this film. It's pure eye candy. If you'd kindly remove that confounded tinfoil helmet of yours, you would be able to hear me. Sheeesh....

Hmmm nothing like a box office action movie written/directed by chauvanists with obtuse, er, oh yes - "subtle" anti-Obama/Left messages - cuz you know only our Caucasion Big Brother knows what is in our best interest ;) my little girl heart is so re-assured! (Sigh)

What are you talking about, Pat? What about the social commentary regarding Sartre's view of love, and how human relationships are, by nature, based upon conflict? I thought Bay and Bruckheimer did a great job of illustrating this point by removing the humanity and having the robots explode the shit out of each other. Very existential.
...
Okay, the movie sucked. You couldn't have guessed?

Did you really _have_ to be warned? It's Transformers 2. It's Michael Bay. It's Shia LePeouff and Megan Fox and good/evil factions of giant cg robots duking it out at the expense of human lives.

Okay, maybe that very last part didn't quite serve my point, but I'm just sayin'.

PS> They may make sucky movies, but at least a sequel doesnt take them a decade to finish.

I kid because I love. Or because I'm a jerk. One of those two things.

Why must film makers think they can overshadow a movie with special effects and lack of a good story, unlike a vast majority of movie goers there are some who have some integrity who actually want a good movie.

At least it wasnt Twilight, you wont lose any sleep over it
