- In 1967, six heroin addicts came together at a detox program in a NY hospital. They talked about the struggles of staying clean and decided to help one another through the tough days ahead. They moved in together and Phoenix House was born.

Phoenix House Phoenix House's, OC "Fit For Recovery" held a fundraiser this weekend at "Dairy Queen" that will launch the building of a roof covering to protect their new gym, which was created based on donations from the community and sponsors. The residents got a chance to make the ice cream cones behind the counter.....let's jus...t say that some of the cones were leaning slightly......but they all tasted great! Thank you Diary Queen!!
