Tough call Sheba...but i find myself in the same situation sometimes too. Like i had stated in my one post over on Co4x4, sometimes i wrap myself up so much in taking pictures that i dont take the time to enjoy the things im actually experiencing. Ive tried to make it a point NOT to bring all my gear with me when going on family outings because ... See Morethat should be ME time for making memories in my own head, instead of trying to capture them from behind a camera.

Its come to a point that people are relying on me for the "good pictures" when going out and doing things i enjoy that arent paid jobs...and honestly, sometimes, id rather just be that guy with a P&S enjoying and focusing more on whats actually going on!

I hear you! I have a camera with me all the time and my peers expect me to get the "good shots" too. But if you are shooting it, you aren't exactly living it too. I think both of us should challenge ourselves to leave our cameras at home for one week and see how we feel. Will we regret something that happens if we can't capture it in a photo or will we treasure memories of our own experiences instead?
