Our 28 trucks (and drivers) are ready to put out de-icer, spread sand and gravel, and plow snow. At their annual snow training day, employees had refresher training, reviewed emergency plans, and drove snow plow routes.

Brian Ziegler "Addams to Ziegler" - you cover it all!

Pierce County Public Works and Utilities The director, deputy director, communication & accountability staff, and IT staff dressed up today for a cause. We made pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin pastries for our coworkers who gave a $1 (or more) donation for the Emergency Food Network. We raised $110.15 to help those in need (and had a lot of fun).

Pierce County Public Works and Utilities Colorful leaves and soaking rains shout, "it's Fall!" But they can also mean flooding caused by clogged storm drains. Please don't blow your leaves into the street and clear leaves from storm drains by your home (if it's safe). If you see a storm drain that needs attention call 798-4274. We'll send a crew out.

Public Works and Utilities employees love our dogs, too. And we're scooping poop to protect water. Check out our album to see our pets and some facts about pet waste.
Even better, upload a picture of your dog and pledge to scoop the poop.
