This whole thing has smelled to high heaven from day 1. Cox has been involved since the beginning. Glad it's finally getting out.

A year ago. Elation, mostly because we wouldn't have bush and the penguin to deal with anymore (or so we thought about Cheney) and that Obama, Pelosi and Ried would be able to work together. Today, the reality is that we have people screaming at each other, people taking guns to Presidental Events, governors talking sucession, people brining up ... Read Morethe 10th Admendment, Michelle Bachmann, Tea Baggers (love Bill Maher's comments about them) Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs and the screaming mimi's of the right. because of all this "reform" is something watered down, like beer in Ohio.

I am actually really not comfortable just 'hoping' that this horrible amendment gets dropped from the final bill. I believe that Progress Michigan should be on this - and organizing our base in Michigan to educate/rally the pro-choice majority (and Stupak's voter base!!) on the truth behind this amendment.

Progress Michigan If you can't even spell it right...

I give you the instantly worst campaign Web site in the history of electoral politics ... the group opposed to the Kalamazoo non-discrimination ordinance (Yes, they spelled the word Discrimination with an "e" in the Web site name). By the way, according to that Web site, here is the ballot language:

They can't spell the word right because they've never used it before. Obviously they haven't really learned the meaning of the word either.

Progress Michigan Detroit News analysis shows state government shrinking faster and farther than private sector and reveals right-wing Mackinac Center lie.

Source: www.detnews.com
Lansing -- State government isn't what it used to be. In fact, it's about 80 percent of what it was at the beginning of this decade. And it's going to get smaller. Michigan's eight-year recession has slashed one in six state workers and one in five state government dollars.

Fuuuuck. My dad works for the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. He has a lot of seniority though, so he should be safe, even if they do cut some of that department.

Good question! My adult autistic daughter is about to run out of her medications that are not covered by the Ingham County Health Care plan and medicaid turned her down because she couldn't gather all her paperwork together from all of her specialists and doctors...i.e. they charge for a doctor's visit for the paperwork...DUHHH....she wouldn't be... Read More applying for medicaid if she could PAY for the doctor's visits....I hope Sparrow Hospital has an empty bed for her when she starts seizing uncontrollably and they will end up eating the costs anyway because she has NO JOB.
