    • Robert Plumlee Irrespective of the CEO's political affiliation, most corporations do not want comprehensive immigration reform. The pool of cheap labor is too important to their bottom line.

    • Mark Halle May I ask ....Immigration Reform.. Reform what? Too many Germans in Wisconsin? No Hispanics ...I guess??? Are there too many Hispanics taking jobs away from citizens ? You and I don't really know. AND what is this huge problem? A huge latin crime wave? No Just like marijuana, and cocaine cut out the demand and the druig problem will go away. Cut out the employers of illegal aliens and THIS "Illegal Immigration" problem will go away!

ProgressNow Nevada Another major oil spill has occurred, this time gushing oil into a major inland river system in Michigan. Another tragic sign that a clean energy future is the responsible future: http://yhoo.it/bmkxqA

Crews were working Tuesday to contain and clean up more than 800,000 gallons of oil that poured into a creek and flowed into the Kalamazoo River in southern Michigan, coating birds and fish.

Level the playing field, make oil worthless and maybe then Mother Earth will stand a chance.

ProgressNow Nevada Our hearts are very sad today. Kenny Guinn may not have fit the definition of a "progressive," but he certainly was a fine man who understood what this state needed, even if he wasn't able to make it happen.

Former Republican Gov. Kenny Guinn has died, two sources have told the Sun. Guinn was the governor of Nevada from 1999 to 2007.

Though I applaud you efforts as far as the vigil. I just wonder when is this group that is Nationwide do more. Like write a reform bill for immigration reform. Actually do something instead of just walking with signs and hold candles. No of...fense but that won't give solace to the people that will be treated like criminals for wanting a life that is safer or better than they ever could have in Mexico. These are not the first and they won't be the last that come here without papers. I think in our efforts to talk over each other we have lost sight of the real issues that immigrants face. Because guns are so prevalent here and they pour over the boarder and have created an unsafe place to raise their kids and given the drug lords more power. Power that they have used to kill police, politicians and smuggle humans and drugs. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to live in a place like that. We didn't expect people from Russia, Africa, mid-east and central Asia to have papers when they were allowed to come here. Has everyone forgotten Vietnam and the fact that no one had papers and they were given a way to citizenship. Its not like we need to reinvent the wheel here. Also no one has addressed the high cost of becoming a citizen. My husband is a German and because of his work he needs to get an American citizenship. Germany allows dual citizenship thank goodness. Just to start the paperwork without an attorney is 700.00 dollars.I am no specialist in demographics but I don't really believe that South American immigrants can afford such extreme costs.Does anyone have any further idea of the cost to get citizenship??See More
