          I started trying at 21 when I worked in a business plaza that the mobile unit came to. I say try because my iron was never high enough. I wasn't successful at donating until I was 29. I was interning at the phlebotomy school I went to. A Re...d Cross mobile team would come to that class each term. I am almost 32 now and I have donated 4-WBD and 2-Platelets. Not a lot but I try every chance I get. I am pretty much in the Silverdale branch each week trying to donate platelets. And every 2 months I try for WBD. It has become my 2nd home. :)See More

        We’re considering adding geo-tracking ‘check-in’s’ to our donor centers, enabling donors to post their whereabouts when they come in to donate blood. What check-in sites do you use? We’re thinking four square, but want to go with what our loyal donors like most.

        We're growing! Please welcome new board member Andrea MacPherson! Andrea is a Community Relations Specialist for PCC Natural Markets. She is active in Seattle’s non-profit community, working with organizations like Seattle Children’s Hospital and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As a cancer survivor, Andrea understands the importance of blood donation and is excited to give back to the Puget Sound Blood Center.
