    • John Vodonick The difference between exercising your right to vote, (which she didn't for close to 20 years) and fulfilling your obligation as a citizen to serve on a jury is that you can't be thrown into jail for not voting, only collect the contempt of your fellow citizens when you don't.

    • Anthony Finchum This happened to me. She probably got pulled for a panel for a really intricate case, and the lawyers now get to decide over a few weeks who to keep and who to excuse. That's not good for Meg. It could be a LONG, LONG case for her.

            This was a fabulous rally! Loved dressing in period clothes and marching with my fellow nurses. Just a tiny taste of how exciting it must have been for all those women years ago that fought for years to get us the right to vote.
            Meg-a-buck$... should be ashamed of herself for ignoring that legacy all these years until she decides she wants the govenors seat! How offensive!
            She is no friend to nurses or any other worker in the state. Her "plan" to fire 40,000 state workers and loot our pension plans to "balance" the state budget is a disaster waiting to happen.
            The balanced budget would be at the expense of everyone in the state that is not independently wealthy as she is. That's the only part of the populace that her "plan" would benefit.
            I plan to talk to anyone I can about this. I also plan to urge and implore everyone I can to get out and vote in November. And vote for Jerry Brown. He has the experience, and unlike Mega-greed, he has a compassionate, human heart.
            Come, let's join the campaign. Protect our rights, protect out ratios, protect our patients from corporate greed.
