Philadelphia Biblical University Due to severe avalance danger on Mount Hood, rescueres have suspended the search for missing climbers Katie Nolan and Anthony Vietti. When rescuers are able to resume climbing, they will conduct a recovery operation.

Experts say there is less than one percent chance that Katie and Anthony could have survived on Mount H...ood in these difficult conditions since they began their climb last Friday.

Katie attended PBU's Wisconsin Wilderness Campus and is a 2002 graduate of the University's School of Education. David Nolan, Katie's father, told reporters:

"God has given me a peace about Katie. He's given me strength. I think there needs to be a time of meeting with my family, and we're going to talk, and we're going cry and we're going to hug one another and then we're going to turn around and praise God that we know Katie is in heaven. We are confident... she has led a life that's been exemplary."

Our thoughts and prayers extend to the families and loved ones of Luke Gullberg, Anthony Vietti, and Katie Nolan.

A memorial service is planned in Portland, OR next week. There will be a second memorial service in the Philadelphia area the week following Christmas.
