my dog has allergies, very itchy and is allergic to yeast, i don't do raw meat as i am vegan...any other alternatives? can it help her allergies? specialist says it's not food yeast but natural yeast that grows on the body she is allergic too. It's really up to you how often you feed Kira treats. The most important thing for you to do is to monitor her weight. Have you seen Melissa's blog article which covers how to help your dog lose extra weight? In that article, she discusses treats. Basically, as long as you are monitoring Kira's weight and keeping it appropriate, treats should be just fine. Here's a link to that article:

I watch my pets weight very closely. My dog is just right. My cat is a little under but we are working on bringing her weight back up. ( has a thyroid problem but on meds)
