Mission:
Today one person in five is between the ages of 15 and 24 years. Altogether there are over one billion youth and they constitute a formidable force.

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement aims to work with young people to ensure that they can have the greatest impact possible in their contribution towards those made vulnerable by natural catastrophes, conflicts and "silent" crises such as poverty and disease.

We also aim to develop the skills and capacity of young volunteers by working with our member societies to deliver promote best practices and trainings that best meet the needs of young people.
