Seems to me that you need to work on getting health care for those that DON'T have it, CAN'T get it or CAN'T afford it. Leave the rest of us alone.

I am a Federal employee and have a good health plan. If 30 million americans were put on my health plan and it was paid for by the government, it would cost about $350 billion a year. Actually less because that is the family rate. So how can you justify the current projected costs of healthcare reform?

How about just answering the same question I have been posing for months? And the only response I have received is the standard form letter from June about "Cap and Trade". Still haven't figured out how "Cap and Trade" legislation is going to get me into see a doctor?

Honey, when someone with no health insurance shows up in the emergency room for a stomachache, who do you think pays for that? We do!The public option would improve preventative care so people wouldn't wind up in the ER when they don't belong there.

Give me a break. A document this long deserves months to discuss and evaluate -- not a few days. Plus this bill is worse than the first one. This bill is not the way to solve our health care problems and destroying the health insurance industry in America is not the way to create more jobs. In addition, this bill in combination with the big ... See Morespending of the Obamma and Bush adminstrations is going to ruin our economy. The stimulus plans did not do what either of them said they would do. They have only made things worse. See a pattern here?

I encourage you to support the new Comprehensive Health Bill and ask that you do all possible to see that the Kucinitch amendment be reinstated. If there is no public option then I would hope that you vote against the bill.

Certainly I support Insurance reform but believe a good health bill will take care of that.

This bill is worse than the first one. Combined with the other things that both the Bush and Obamma adminsitration have done it will destroy our economy. Plus it will make health care wose in Amercia for everyone except the unions and perhaps a small number of people who were not insured before. This is not the way to solve the heatlh care problem!! Do you think that the way to create jobs in America is to destroy the health insurance industry? This is the wrong thing for America.

Annetta, my children went to public school here in Albuquerque, actually supposedly one of the best in the city, but it wasn't. I felt that they got a substandard education as compared to my oldest daughter who went to catholic high school.(which I paid for as well as pay my taxes) but I don't see what difference it makes as to whether my children ... See Morewent to public school. I have no choice but to pay my taxes and pay for your children too. I just realize that as a good citizen I pay my taxes as I should but then I should have a say in how it is spent. The onlly thing that government should be in charge of is defending the nation and its citizens. Local government should be in charge of maintaining the roads and providing for fire and police. They should not be in charge of deciding what medicines I should be able to take or when I can get in to see a doctor. I just realize that as a good citizen I pay my taxes as I should but then I should have a say in how it is spent.

I geuss Annetta, that you don't believe in freedom of speech or any of the other freedoms that are spelled out in the Constitution. It amazes me how intolerant of others people can be, however they expect everyone to be super tolerant of them and their views.

What arrogance to state that when someone disagrees with your position to say that they are uninformed. I don't want a public option, I don't want the government to be any more involved in my life then they already are. Why does no one promote Health Saving Accounts? Allowing insurance companies to sell policies across state lines? Real Tort Reform... See More to lower the cost of malpractice insurance to the doctors? and disallow Insurance companies from using preexisting conditions as an excuse to not insure you? These can and will lower the real cost of health care. The legislation that is being proposed right now is NOT reform...the cost to most people, even those making less then 200,000 a year will go up. There are many hidden fees (taxes) in this legislation. Just remember the addage: Nothing in life is free.

Santa Fe – October 7, 2009 – In August, Santa Fe County commissioned Research & Polling, Inc. to measure awareness levels of the Aamodt settlement and proposed water system, as well as determine what action non-Pueblo property owners plan to take regarding the source of their water.
