Patty Spicer - the insurance industry is already regulated. They don't have any larger profit margins than the average of all other industries. Granted there is a lot of changes that could be made. things like making it illegal to say no to someone with a preexisting condition. and a law like that would cost the taxpayers nothing. Why can't we ... Read Moremake improvements that don't require $1.3Trillion in money the US does not have. Its a bankruptcy catastrophe about to happen. I empathize with people who have illness in the family. Its really sad. But our government is out of control. Take Cash for clunkers for an example. In order to give Johnny Citizen $4500 to buy a new car, Congress made Tommy citizen pay the $4500 in taxes. That's how it works. Thing is, Johnny citizen received the $4500 and he might have been the millionaire next door. Congress should not have the right to take money from one person to help out another, no matter how righteous the cause. Any time government takes that role, it's called communism. And you know how well Communism works. It doesn't work at all. And Politicians who support this kind of legislation are communists as well. They will deny it but its the truth. Communism is about taking from one citizen to give to another. read up on the Soviet Union and Karl Marx - you will understand what I am saying. This health care bill is going to bring the finances of America to its knees. I pray people will come to their senses and vote these politicians out the door in the next election.

The Dems live to attack anyone, especially women, who oppose their view.

Please show me where the majority of Americans, and the majority of women support abortion and support the far far left liberal agenda being pushed by the Dems

Rep Schultz, I respect you as a woman and a member of Congress. Politically, I have no respect for the fringe element of your party you represent and the political/media games you play

So what about the then Senator Clinton and Governor Palin? I gurantee if any woman were to say a single bad word, or oppose President Obama their name, family and children would be drug through the mud instantly

Regardless, it's all politics as usual, the Dems are the instigators and the ones crying now

The majority of Americans want healthcare reform.

Not the 12 trillion dollar job killing, tax raising big government abortion the Dems are trying to ram down the voters throat

You need to start pointing out the Republican's apparent use of reverse psychology at every turn. They are masters at manifesting the future that they want by planting unwarranted seeds of Democratic doubt.

Wasserman-Schultz is NOT the Progressive everybody believes her to be. Previous examples within these comments have been cited; I will add yet another of her backwards thinking: Currently WS is spear-heading a group of similar-thinking peers (DEMS) to PREVENT passage of H.R. 874 --the "Freedom To Travel To Cuba Act." I am NOT a "fan" of WS in... Read More the least, for my reasons as well as the others cited, and will work for any truely Progressive Democrat who opposes her in her next election cycle....HER RE-ELECTION IS what is most important to her....not the wishes of the vast majority of Americans.

Too bad WS isn't in favor of change as much as most Americans are. WS is spear heading a group of fellow, retro-thinking Dems in Congress to defeat H.R. 874 (The Freedom to Travel to Cuba Act.)

Debbi - your right on about the GOP Plan, but that's most likely a side show. The "main ring" is the Public Option in House Bill. It's too weak - we need Public Option that ANY American can elect -- based only on what they see as best for them. True choice - Public Opton if that's best or Private Insurance if it fits better. True Choice!
