Rep. Harry Mitchell I am proud to cosponsor H.R. 3943, the bipartisan Post 9/11 Troops to Teachers Enhancement Act, to help more troops transitioning to civilian life become teachers. As a former teacher, I know how important it is to have well-trained instructors in the classrooms, as well as help veterans in the transition back to civilian life.

Rep. Harry Mitchell Yesterday I challenged the Department of Veterans Affairs to lay out a plan to ensure veterans receive the GI Bill benefits they have earned in a timely manner. No veteran should have their education delayed.

Andrew, I will argue with Obama on anything that I believe he is wrong on. Unfortunately, he is a statist, so that means I disagree with him on pretty much everything. When he initially talked about sending more troops to Afghanistan during the campaign, I agreed with him on that.

I am not going to get off the back of a man who is payed with my ... Read Moretax dollers when he screws up, and he is screwing up big time in Afghanistan, and in his job as a whole. I criticized Bush too on a lot of his handling of both Iraq and Afghanistan, so quit trying to play the "but, but, but BUSH!" game, it is infantile. Find a better hobby.

His indecision is getting people killed. I still have plenty of freinds in the Corps who are going back over there, and it scares me that a man who has never been in charge of anything in his life is their CiC.

and enough with the name-calling and answer the questions: Does federally mandated healthcare comply with the enumerated powers explicitly granted to the federal government by the states in the Constitution?

This is a needed change...it will require revision of old ways and methods. After all, is the drivers exam the same as it was in 1930? Are sales contracts single page instruments like they used to be? Are the cars you drive today built the same as the cars 10 years ago? Is EPA and MPG the same. No. It's CHANGED. And most of these changes had to be inacted by Congress. It would have never been enacted by States.

Hey Suzanne, there are only 12 mil, not 40 mil, with no access to insurance. Your number includes people who already qualify for existng state or federal programs but haven't bothered to sign up, illegals, and people who can afford health care but, for whatever reason, have chosen not to buy it. So, a millionare like Donald Trump, George Soros, or Barack Obama simply chooses to not buy insurance because they can afford to cover it, they are included in thay figure.

My brotherly love is helping people out with my own money, not taking your money to be cought up in miles of red tape. I won't be lectured by someone on brotherly love by someone who undoubtedly voted for a man who can't spare a dime for his impoverished brother in Africa.
