The campus will be buzzing with activity Sept. 24-27, as students and their families reunite for Families Weekend 2009.
A Rice tradition, Families Weekend gives students’ families a chance to experience life on campus while visiting with their Owl.
Families can attend classes with their student, hear lectures by distingu...ished members of Rice’s faculty, enjoy coffee with President David Leebron and participate in roundtable discussions with college masters, resident associates and Rice students. Other weekend activities on the schedule are sporting events, one-act plays by the colleges, a performance by the Rice Players, concerts by the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra and Rice Symphonic Band and, of course, football (Rice vs. Vanderbilt).
For a full schedule of activities, visit the Families Weekend Web site at http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~events/famweek/ schedule.htm or contact Jennifer Harding, director of university events, at 713-348-6094.
