the star is special because it means "home" and since moving to Wilmington, NC it's also a point of reference to others that have travelled to the "Star City of the South" and remember that big 'ol star on the mountain!

I remember when I was a kid and my parents would take us up to the Star at night and look out over Roanoke and see the city lit up...And also the Star as they say will light your way home....

My dad proposed to my mom at the star over 40 years ago. I lived my entire childhood in Richmond (they moved there right after getting married), but I think of them every time I see the star now.

Hi Pat, I think as long as you don't have really super close seats it would not frighten him. Search for Walking with Dinosaurs on the internet, there are many other video clips that might help you decide. Perhaps you could show your nephew the clips and ask if he'd be frightened.
