ABOUT THE SHOW
In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl met a big city rocker— and in LA’s most famous dive bar, they fell in love to the greatest songs of the ‘80s. It’s ROCK OF AGES, a hair-band love story told through the mind-blowing, face-melting hits of Journey, Bon Jovi, Poison and many more. Don’t miss this awesomely good time about dreaming big, playing loud and partying on.

“Absurdly enjoyable! About as guilty as pleasures get! The siren call of those guitars and singalong choruses is impossible to resist.” -Charles Isherwood, The New York Times

“The real deal! A cranked-up crowd-pleaser!” -Joe Dziemianowicz, Daily News

“Rock on if you dare!” -David Richardson, WOR Radio

“Rock solid! A sexy, feel-good romp!” -Roma Torre, NY1

"A Must See! Pure Broadway Gold." - Ellen Carpenter, Spin Magazine

“More fun than it has any right to be.” -Thom Geier, Entertainment Weekly

Parental Advisory
Rock of Ages is a full-out, blast-off, hold-onto-your-hairspray celebration of the great rock music of the 80s, and you might be wondering - or, admit it, hoping - your kids will love it as much as you will. Well, we think they will, but you should know that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 14. We think teenagers will dig it, because it’s totally awesome, sort of like a music video brought to life, complete with hot dancers and blazing guitar licks. You know the maturity of your children, so we suggest you use your best judgment about whether or not the show is appropriate for them. Remember, if you do bring them, they’ll get to see you rockin’ like you did back in the day. Just so you know.

Ah, Times Square: For native New Yorkers, it's simply a crowded place to be avoided at all costs, but tourists can help power New Year's Eve festivities.

Kerry Butler is currently starring as Sherrie in Broadway's Tony Award Nominated show Rock of Ages. She returns to Broadway after reuniting with Hairspray Creative Team Marc Sheiman, Scott Whitman and Jack O'Brien in the premiere of "Catch me if You Can" in Seattle opposite Norbert Leo Butz and Aaron Tveit. Kerry rec...eived rave reviews, acclaim and a Tony Nomination for her role as the lead of Clio/Kira in the hit Broadway musical Xanadu. This runaway hit has been acclaimed by both fans and critics who have all touted her performance as sensational. Charles Isherwood from the New York Times said "Kerry Butler, as the Greek demi-goddess Clio, who also roams Venice Beach as the Australian mortal Kira, is simply heaven on eight little polyurethane wheels." Publications such as Vanity Fair, Variety, Newsday, New York Daily News, NY Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Time Out NY, Newark Star Ledger, Associated Press, New York 1 and others, have all singled out her performance for being fresh, exciting and a "flowing vision on rollerskates." Most recent TV shows include: 30 Rock, Cupid and a recurring role the series "Lipstick Jungle"which starred Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price. Kerry portrayed Lindsay's backstabbing assistant, Reese. Among her film and television credits are: Borough of Kings, Campfire Stories, One Life to Live¸ Second Honeymoon starring Roma Downey, Sesame Street, Hometown, Another World, Twins (Pilot), as well as several live performances on national television shows. Growing up in Brooklyn, Kerry grew up around the theater and performing arts. She became a Broadway darling known for her amazing stage talents as a singer and actress. She made her Broadway Debut as Belle in Beauty in the Beast, a role she originated with the Toronto Production. As Belle, she was nominated for a DORA award, which is given out by the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) for "Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role." She followed that with Blood Brothers, Les Miserables and Little Shop of Horrors, in which she was nominated for an Outer Critics Award. Most notably she received rave reviews starring as Penny Pingleton in Hairspray which garnered her with the prestigious Clarence Derwent Award given to one male and one female performer a year for excellence in the theater. She also received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle award nominations for that role. Kerry has worked Off Broadway and regionally in Bat Boy: The Musical, The Opposite of Sex at the Williamstown Theater Festival, Miracle Brothers at the Vineyard Theater, The "I" Word at the Ensemble Studio Theater, The Folsom Head at the Currican Theater, Prodigal at the York Theater and numerous readings and workshops of new musicals. Kerry's recordings include: Xanadu, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, Bat Boy: The Musical, Prodigal, numerous demo cds and her solo album, "Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust." A devoted mother and humanitarian, Kerry is a member of ACS Children's Services "Family Preservation Program" where she works with families teaching them life skills to keep the family unit intact. She supports the fight to end the genocide in Darfur, and supports the necessary environmental change to breathe cleaner air and have fresh drinking water around the world. Kerry resides in New York with her husband and daughter.

I vote for Jason's idea!! Would love to have a copy of the actual Broadway show preserved on film. From reading Adam's thoughts on ROA it seems like he wants to "Disney-fy" the show - which would be a shame. The cast who is in the show now does a better job than any 'movie stars of the moment' could do. Please no "Glee: 1986, The Movie"!
