Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort Wants to remind everyone that this weekend is the 2009 Artists Studio Tour in Mountain Maryland. Featuring 37 artists making, selling and displaying everything from glass, to metal sculpture, wood working to knitting and weaving. The weather is going to splendid!
Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort Did You Know- Lake Habeeb (also known as Rocky Gap Lake) opened in 1974. Fishing is permitted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Lake Habeeb supports an excellent largemouth bass population and good but limited smallmouth bass fishery. Largemouth bass have been collected that were in excess of 10 pounds. Brown and rainbow trout are stocked in Lake Habeeb annually.

This past weekend my boyfriend and I were traveling from DC to Pittsburgh. Our rental car broke down and we were stranded for over 8 hours. We happen to get towed to Rocky Gap, which was just a few miles away, and ended up staying overnight. The staff at the lodge were so nice and inviting even though we weren't offici...al guests until we booked a room around midnight. When we told them about our unfortunate situation they offered us a free breakfast. How nice! Rocky Gap was the silver lining to a really bad day.Read More
