Hey Ro--only in NY--you were two blocks from my place! Glad you had a great time.

I had always been ashamed to let anybody see me cry. Now in the wisdom of my old age I have found that I can cry in my writings and no one can see my tears. I can hurt, and no one can see my pain. The wonder of it all, however, is that I can write about someone else and reserve the secret unto myself, that the one that I am writing about is really the child growing into the man, that I always wanted to be. Me!

Very pretty profile picture. I love what you are doing. I was so thrill to hear and see your Aunt Maya on the "Today Show". I was thrilled to hear she's is receiving "The Woman of the Year " award. I just love to hear her talk. I heard her the first time live, this year in the Big D' @ Orchestra Hall this year, I will never forget that evening. I was amazed. I praying that I wii get to meet her one day. You have a bless week.

I see someone else I know on your site...Stan Lathan. He grew up here, in West Philly. I saw him in April, at Randy(Delphonic's) Cain's funeral. Stan and Randy, were best friends.

I adore Brooklyn --- The attitudes, the West Indian Day parade -- curried goat and roti -- beautiful Italian men -- and Park Slope and the distinct accent -- and -- Spike Lee! Ahhhhhhhh.....

here's another shocker, would believe as big as the west indian day parade is they dont have any major sponsors but local mom and pop stores. They wanted me on board to help bring in major sponsors but they got a bad wrap with people always getting into fights and the gun violence each year so its very hard to get major sponsorship for that event.
