About Student Entertainment Events
Student Entertainment Events is an arm of the University of Maryland's Student Government Association responsible for concerts, comedy, performing arts, special events, lectures and more at the University of Maryland. Student Entertainment Events, or SEE, is comprised of a group of selected undergraduate students who work alongside a handful of advisors, as well as specific groups of students, in the creation, promotion, and operation of campus events.

Dec 1:
Laser tag- 6-10 pm in the Grand Ballroom. What could be a better tension releaser than shooting your friends (and strangers) with lasers? It's FREE and complimentary photo key chains will... be given away.
SNL Movie Series ft. "Wayne's World"- 7-9 pm in Hoff, FREE!
Starring Mike Myers as Wayne Campbell and Dana Carvey as Garth Algar, hosts of the Aurora, Illinois-based cable access television show Wayne's World. A local station decides to hire him and his sidekick, Garth, to do their show professionally and Wayne & Garth find that it is no longer the same. Wayne falls for a bass guitarist and uses his and Garth's Video contacts to help her career along, knowing that Ben Oliver, the sleazy advertising guy who is ruining their show will probably take her away from him if they fail.

SNL Movie Series ft. "Superstar"- 7-9 pm in Hoff, FREE!
Orphan Mary Katherine Gallagher, an ugly duckling at St. Monica High School, has a dream: to be kissed soulfully. She decides she can realize this dream if she becomes a superstar, so her prayers, her fantasies, and her conversations with her only friend focus on achieving super-stardom. Her big chance is a school talent contest; her main competition is Evian, the school beauty, who is dancing with Sky, the object of Mary Katherine's kiss dream. Mary Katherine gets some talent-show help from her fellow special education students, her grandma, and Jesus, and inspiration from secrets in her past.

SNL Movie Series ft. "A Night at the Roxbury"- 7-9 pm in Hoff, FREE!
Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan play the Roxbury Guys, Steve and Doug Butabi, who want to get into the best club in town, and also hope to open their own club. The problem is, they are so uncool, they've never even been inside the Roxbury. Elisa Donovan plays Vivica, a gold-digging supermodel. Vivica and her friend Cambi (Gigi Rice) try to work the Roxbury Guys for their money, only to find out the pair is broke.

Its queasy combination of awkward sex scenes, wooden acting, terrible dialog and illogical continuity must be seen to be disbelieved. Tommy Wiseau wrote, directed, produced and stars in this atrocity, a ridiculously hysterical drama about infidelity among a group of friends in San Francisco. Like many terrible movies b...efore it The Room would have probably died a quiet death, occasionally showing up on late-night cable, had fate not intervened. The Room became a cult film royale, regularly selling out.

Up-and-coming musician, Mike Posner, a 21 year old from Detroit, is taking the music industry by storm. In the summer of 2009, he signed a major label deal just after releasing his first mixtape, “A Matter of Time”, featuring his hit singles “Drug Dealer Girl” and “Cooler than Me”. Posner has collaborated with perfor...mers Wale, Kid Cudi and 50 cent, as he works at completing his senior year as a sociology major at Duke University. Most recently, he released a second mixtape, “One Foot out the Door” in October, with plans of his first studio album due in the spring of 2010. He was recently featured on Last Call w/ Carson Daly.
Big Sean is the newest signee to Kanye West’s management label GOOD Music. In 2007, he released his first mixtape “Finally Famous – The Mixtape”, with the hit “Getcha Some”. Big Sean released his second mixtape, “U Know Big Sean – Finally Famous Vol. 2” in April of 2009. His first album, “Finally Famous” will be released in the spring of 2010.
[opener] J. Ferb: former student/ on Air personality of a popular radio show at UMD, he has recently been on the road wth popular Memphis recording artist, Yo Gotti introducing audiences everywhere to his new sound. Although from the south he cites east coast lyricism and Mark Ronson’s soul compositions as influences on his sound, while maintaining his natural southern diction. That original sound and music has been creating quite a buzz as his upcoming project “Chase the Dreams, Not the Competition” is expected to be released in Jan. 2010
