They can shut down the dangerous bay bridge but they can't shut down construction at the Hunters Point shipyard where an asbestos level of 400,000 structures per c/cm was recorded on October 13th at monitor HV11!

I had a serious local and generalized reaction to the seasonal flu and will have to pass on Swine flu even though I am a health care provider coming in contact with over 80 patients a week. I will observe all precautions about hand washing, isolation and identifying symptomatic patients immediately. I had a rock hard deltoid at the injection site and neuropathic symptoms in my left hand. Worse case of flu I ever had!

I think San Francisco should prepare for a potential flood, sietch or tsunami as a high risk scenario! We are surrounded on three sides by water and sit at the tip of a peninsula. The big one may be the result of water not an earthquake!

I was very active as an emergency physician in 89. I had been a doc for the Giants at Candlestick for over a year and worked as a flight physician for Life Flight and an attending in the ED at Santa Clara Valley Med through the Quake aftermath. I remember Mayor Art Agnos and his heroic ride on the helicopter to view the damage done to the city. I ... Read Morewas a commissioner under Art. I went to the BVHP Big Rumble and experienced an 8.0 quake for 30 seconds and had some screaming barbecue chips. I also completed my emergency kit for my two toy poms in time for the shakeup on Thursday at 10:15pm. Just before the siren went off. I really like Vicki Hennessy. She's doing a great job!
