JACK WHITE TURNS DOWN SLASH'S REQUEST TO SING ON SOLO ALBUM...
Slash has recruited an impressive roster of guest musicians to appear on Slash & Friends, the Velvet Revolver guitarist’s 2010 solo album. Pals like Dave Grohl, Flea, Chris Cornell, the Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger and pretty much every Guns n’ Roses m...ember not named Axl Rose will make appearances on the LP. However, Slash revealed that one guy he really wanted to work with rebuffed him: The White Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather’s Jack White.
“I wanted to get Jack White to sing on something, but he didn’t want to sing,” Slash told Musicradar.com. “He said ‘I’ll play drums, I’ll play guitar, but I don’t wanna sing.’ He was one guy that I wanted to work with. Pretty much everyone else that I went after I managed to get.”
While White opted out, Slash was reportedly able to recruit another of Michigan’s most musical native sons, Iggy Pop, plus artists like Fergie, Cypress Hill, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Meat Loaf and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. As Rolling Stone previously reported, Slash also found time in his busy schedule to appear on someone else’s album, contributing guitar to Rihanna’s “Rockstar 101″ on Rated R.
According to Slash’s Twitter, the guitarist recorded the final track for his solo album yesterday and Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy handled vocals. “Record will be completely done this month,” Slash promises. In addition to a November 16th appearance on the new Lopez Tonight, Slash & Friends will perform at a fundraiser for the Los Angeles Youth Nation at Hollywood’s Avalon Theater on November 22nd. Slash’s friends that night will include Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Wolfmother’s Andrew Stockdale, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, Dave Navarro and Travis Barker.Read More

TFL COMPLAINS ABOUT THE SIZE OF KELLY'S BUNS...
November 3, 2009
Transport for London has demanded that posters featuring Kelly Brook covering her breasts with a pair of iced buns be re shot using bigger buns. The posters are being used to advertise the stage version of Calendar Girls in which Kelly Brook is playing a st...arring role. The West End play tells the story of a group of Women’s Institute members who decide to produce a nude calendar to raise cancer awareness. Kelly Brook is playing Celia who poses for one of the calendar pictures behind a plate of iced buns.
David Pugh who is producing the play is outraged by Transport for London’s demands for censorship. He claims that Transport for London had accused the plays organizers of trying to titillate commuters traveling on the London Underground. Pugh said that as far as he was concerned he was representing the true story of a group of women who did something remarkable. He also said that he had no idea what the buns were in terms of bra sizes but that they definitely tried to go a few sizes bigger.
Mr. Pugh said that when he was first contacted about the size of Kelly Brook’s buns he thought it was a joke. He says that Transport for London didn’t seem to have any problems with similar shots of Jerry Hall and Gaynor Faye. Transport for London say that they will be replacing the original pictures with new ones that will comply with their policies on the appropriate size of buns being held up by nude actresses.Read More

WORST DISGUISE EVER?.. BURGLARS COVER THEIR FACES WITH PERMANENT MARKER PEN...
If you're going to commit a burglary, it's a good idea to have a disguise. However, you should probably do better than this pair of would-be burglars, whose disguise attempts extended to just drawing on their faces with a black marker pen.
Ma...tthew Allan McNelly, 23, and Joey Lee Miller, 20 were arrested last Friday night after they tried to break into an apartment in Carroll, Iowa.
A witness called police to alert them to the attempted break in, and said that the suspects then drove off in a white car. Police tracked the car down a few blocks away, and - having been told that the suspects appeared to be wearing holsters - arrested them at gun point, the Daily Times Herald newspaper reported.Read More
