Sign On San Deigo: The display has more than 2,000 Lego bricks. The wall itself was made from flat-faced plates to give the illusion of names. The actual granite memorial has the names of 58,261 members of the U.S. Armed Forces who fought in the war and were either unaccounted for or killed.

I've never seen a bat like this. Is it for real? We will be studying bats in depth this year in 2nd grade. You can teach a lot of the SOLs thru the study of bats. I was at the Virginia Association of Science Teachers (VAST) conference last weekend. One of the keynote speeches was on bats and White Nose Syndrome. It is pretty serious. A white ... Science Museum of Virginia Did you know? IMAX® uses the largest film frame in the motion picture industry — 10 times larger than Hollywood's standard 35 mm film format and three times bigger than the standard 70 mm frame. The larger film frame creates images of unsurpassed clarity and impact.

Steven - Good question. It can't burn like a laser since a laser is very precise. But the bulb does get very hot and could burn if not handled properly - the entire unit is cooled down by water.

Science Museum of Virginia Love the grin on this Pallid bat! Did you know? Pallid bats make different sounds. The intimidation note is a loud insect-like buzz that is uttered when a bat is frightened, angered, or annoyed.

Hmmm.... that makes sense. we had a bat in our house once, and we thought it was a cricket because it was dark and we couldn't see it, but it sounded like a cricket.
