. . . (wilderness) has been a place where lost souls go to rekindle their dying embers, where families can go to strengthen and re-forge bonds that may have loosened over troubled times, and where friends go to create life-long laughs and memories . . . Kaylie Cox, Thompson Falls 8th Grader.

Neil Wimberley The Scotchman Wilderness Plein Air Art Show has a new venue on Schweitzer Mountain just in time for ski season. Gormandie, a new upscale wine shop and deli, is showing for the next two months ten of our best paintings from this year’s Fall Paint Out. Dramatic large studio oil canvases by Jarred Shear and Aaron Johnson... are prominently displayed, as well as paintings by Ken Olson, Greg Caudell, and Terrell Jones. Skiers and visitors to Schweitzer will enjoy the immediacy of these Scotchman Wilderness paintings in a cozy setting and sales will benefit FSPW.

The skiers from the Greater Inland NW will be pouring in, will be inspired by the beauty they behold, and take a piece of the Wilderness home with them in the form of a plein air painting - ever so nicer than a postcard!

I was one of two winners, for the 1st Wed photo competition and I did leave my address at the store, along with my color preference, on the new (and most beautiful) Scotchman Peak Wilderness scarfs - love the map and good to have if lost! Was my scarf lost in the mail?

Mike - the instructions to receive the award were to "Contact us directly at info@scotchmanpeaks.org with your color preference and to confirm a mailing address" I get those emails forwarded to me automatically and haven't seen any from you. If you sent the info to that address and it didn't go through then our apologies, but if that happened then... See More I'd like to know so I can fix it. If you sent the info elsewhere, then again my apologies but we were not set up to handle this in another manner. Either way, please re-send your address and color preference directly to me at phil@scotchmanpeaks.org I am travelling for the holidays but will personally handle after I return. Thanks, Phil
