The Yachts of Seabourn We'd like to share two photos taken just yesterday aboard Seabourn Odyssey's World Cruise, sent to us by Captain Mark Dexter. The first is the sunset observed by all our guests during the Sail Away party from Papeete in Tahiti. From Captain Dexter - "This shows myself and Sigurd Darbakk, our Staff Captain watching the ...sunset over the island of Moorea after we left Papeete. The sky bar was full to capacity as the deck was packed with guests taking photos. We all agreed it was one of the most vivid sunsets most of us had ever seen and was probably caused by Cyclone Oli. It looked like the sky was on fire! The second is a photo of our beautiful yacht lying at anchor in the idyllic setting of Bora Bora lagoon. It was a perfect day and we used the marina as well."

The Yachts of Seabourn Halong Bay in Vietnam is considered one of the world’s natural wonders, with more than 1,900 islands rising out of the waters. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994, this is THE place to visit in Vietnam. The stunning landscape will surely take your breath away. Seabourn Pride sails through this magnifice...nt bay on its Asia Capitals itinerary, providing guests with a once in a lifetime experience to view the legendary islands and rock formations. In addition, Seabourn offers several shore excursions for a closer look at the islands, including the “Kayak Adventure in Halong Bay” tour during the yacht’s stop in Cai Lan.

I wish to welcome Captain Ian McNaught and to congratulate Seabourn on the aquisition of this remarkable sailor. I have sailed many times with Captain McNaught aboard QE2. In my opinion Cunard has lost its best Captain, and Seabourn has gained a very special officer indeed.
Those of us who had the privilege of sailing w...ith Captain McNaught while he was with Cunard count ourselves lucky, for he cared for his passengers with grace, humour, patience and generosity. Captain McNaught's table was the best place to be on the ship, and more than a few passengers, myself included, passed on upgrades to the Grill dining rooms in order to dine in the Caronia Restaurant with Captain McNaught.
He is also a fine sailor, and handled QE2 expertly in all conditions, including some memorable storms during winter crossings.
I am certain Seabourn passengers will delighted with the line's new Captain.
