yes but volunteerism is up, no? Lots of unemployed either taking advantage of free time to give. Or just bored. Or hoping the volunteering will open doors to jobs. Whatever the motivation, charities are benefitting, no? Hopefully the boost in volunteering offsets the decline if $$ giving?

Looking for volunteer opportunities for a 14 year old in Austin TX--any ideas?

try a local hospital,animal shelter,or a parks and recreation,or maybe a food bank, sometimes churches have opportunities too...hope this gave you a few ideas:)

As a Public Affairs Director I think the PSA has to be memorable and to the point. When I say memorable I mean one that stays with you for several days if not weeks.

My motto is, if it can't be said in 20 to 30 seconds then it's not worth saying at all. Take half a second to remind someone to volunteer and the world will be changed through volunteerism.
