Mark Denbeaux, Seton Hall Law - "Return to Battle"
Professor Denbeaux was one of a select group of leading lawyers, academics, and civil rights advocates who recently met with senior members of the Obama transition team to advise the team regarding Guantánamo issues. In turn, the Obama team briefed these select advisors on the new administration’s views and intentions regarding Guantánamo Bay and the detainees.
The Times offers:
“Mark P. Denbeaux, a Seton Hall law professor who has been a prominent lawyer for Guantánamo detainees, said that at a briefing he attended with senior officials of the transition last month the officials seemed to have decided to suspend the military commissions immediately.”
