Shahar and Vera Dushevina will play against Polona Hercog (Slovenia) and Jie Zheng (China) in the doubles 2nd round of the Australian Open. The match will take place tomorrow (Friday) at court 8 around 15:00 local time (06:00 Israel time). // שחר וורה דושבינה ישחקו נגד פולונה הרקוג (סלובניה) וז'י ז'נג (סין) בסיבוב הזוגות ה-2 של אליפות אוסטרליה הפתוחה. המשחק יתקיים מחר (שישי) במגרש 8 בסביבובת 15:00 זמן מקומי (06:00 שעון ישראל).

shahar is yet to be consistently aggressive, which is an aspect that she needs to possess to beat the very top players. Sabine was playing extraordinary, and i sincerely belive that there is noone that could have beaten her the way she was ...playing against shahar. With that said, she needs to gather a game that is more aggressive. She kept hitting looping balls in attempt to change the pace, but they were getting smakced back at her by lisicki. She can not do that against the top players. She has to develop more power in order to break into the top 10.See More

Lois Ekstrom Dogey I've always thought Shahar should have a coach like Martina Navratilova..there are certain things you can and can't change..you can't change your body type, obviously, but you could possibly be taught a new technique to bring more power to your game. We all want to see her win her first major - I just don't think she's on the right track.

David Naftulin lois- I agree. Shahar can beat players outside of the top 50 with ease when she is playing good tennis. Her game, however, can not stand up to the powerhouse players i.e. the williams sisters, etc. I would love for martina to be her coach. Although, that would cost a hell of a lot of money.
