Wendy Mayer It seems that the Advocate is a memory for many former Sharonites. I moved to CA over 30 yrs ago and still remember looking forward to reading "Tess the Tattler" and, of course the Police Blotter. The paper symbolizes "home" for me!

, along with every GateHouse newspaper in Massachusetts, will be pink this week in support of the American Cancer Society and its efforts to increase awareness during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The picture is one of the pink papers rolling off the presses in Framingham.
In Friday’s issue, you will ...find stories about the state of research and treatment for breast cancer, as well as profiles of breast cancer survivors.
A portion of the advertising revenue, and part of the cover price of every pink newspaper sold on newsstands, will be donated by GateHouse Media to the American Cancer Society.
