Few days back I have written a post on How free blog contest will help you to boost your blog. Last month I got nominated into one of blog contest started by Famous bloggers club and without putting any effort I was a runner-up. This was good, but after being a runner-up I realize putting a blog post about the contest would be a great idea, as Shoutmeloud readers will get to know about the contest and they could have casted their votes for best blog.

Recently I got to know about a blog contest from Indiabloggies in which Shoutmeloud is nominated as one of the top science/tech blog in India. Only seeing Shoutmeloud in one of the top list is such a joy for me.

Though I realize to win the contest I need to ask readers to vote for the contest. but before I do that I wanted to know other Bloggers take on asking for vote via blog posts.
Earlier what I used to do, is occasionally tweet about such contest and let shoutmeloud and my profile readers know about the contest . So interested users can cast their vote.

Yesterday just to give a try I also shouted about this on my Facebook wall stating

Shoutmeloud is nominated as one of the best Indibloggies Blog under “Best Science/Technology Indiblog ” . If you can spare a vote here That will be awesome.

But before I put about this contest information here at Shoutmeloud as a separate post, I would like to know your take on announcing about such contest as a separate blog posts and asking for your votes.

From the point I see, it’s actually a good idea, since your readers will get to know that your blog is being nominated somewhere in a contest and you can help him to win a contest.

This is readers poll time.. What would you have done in such a condition, when your blog is nominated for a big contest? Will you ask for vote via blog post or should he only tweet and update among your social circle?
