I was ultimately moved by this documentary. Both my heart and my stomach were heavy throughout your courageous effort to expose this deep rooted issue, not only on Skid Row, but in every city, and in every state in our country. You can truly see where our priorities are in this Country, and they are not where they... are supposed to be. I have the up most respect for you, to risk your life to make others aware that things are not okay here. We as Americans strive on saving the world, and looking out for our neighboring countries. Who has ours? We can't even help ourselves.
Tim Fitzpatrick I actually flew from Australia over to LA, and wanted to help out anyway i could. After seeing the transperency from Hollywood, Beverly hills to the dontown social disater skid row i will remember always, the look of helplessness on the faces, but the truth is they are very helpable to an extent, they are lost cause's,... yes they are lost from what they dreamed or imagined thier life could be like but they arent beyond change, it takes compassion. My respect goes out to the people who make a difference everyday, who dont jut walk by and sneer. The world is full of people who do nothing, this isnt Africa, no bot-bellied little children filling the TV screens in a place far far away, this is the ironic, ever so elegant problems that are at the heart of cities all across your nation. I have been to Africa one of the most poorest parts there..but this is in my own back yard...this really hit home...then at the end when it said Mike died..I lost it..after winning 100,000 dollars he le...ft rehab after 20 years of using and got hookeD again and died becuase of it...people think money will solve their problems and give them true happiness...only Jesus can do that...lets stop putting out trust in money and start putting out trust in Jesus...hes the only way...Pras i admire you..R.I.P. Nicole Crawford i watched skidrow for the first time last night. that doc change my veiw on life. we are living each day as our last. we are one bad decision away from a life changing experince. Pras did a amazing job geting up and close to whats happening in America.
Skid Row I'm shocked that THE SOLOIST is not doing better, but I guess it's like SKID ROW. No one wants to look in the mirror, even when the problem is set in an inspiring narrative. I think the studio exec's remarks "the movies look boring" has nothing to do with the issue.
