Since when is a right to pollute the air that I breathe. Non smokers also have the freedom to breathe non smoke filled air. Let all smokers hang together to give each other a greater chance to have COPD or lung cancer.

I've been contacting lawmakers for more than 5 years now. I agree, one of our local representatives is a jerk! None of us will breathe smoke free air until this law is passed.

I've already written to my reps and since I teach high school Health, my next assignment for them is to write their reps as well (I work in a private school, so we don't all have the same ones) and tell them we need to go smoke free! It's pathetic and sad that Michigan is in this minority still!

Deleterious cigarettes (the only kind there are) are already illegal in Michigan under law MCL 750.27, http://medicolegal.tripod.com/milaw1909.htm Please ask your local police and sheriff to enforce this already existing law.

I agree if the legislature does not do this by year end we need to say screw em and start a ballot proposal-OVER 70% of voters don't smoke-polls show well over 60% would vote for this so wtf. Lets make this happen!!
