Things are heating up for the 21st birthday of the Southern Festival of Books! Held on October 9-11 this year, the Festival will be a three-day literary event, welcoming more than 20,000 visitors and over 200 guest authors...

NASHVILLE – The Southern Festival of Books is hosting its first Twitter contest. In the contest, a new author will be featured each week through Oct. 2.
@SoFestofBooks will give daily Twitter clues about authors appearing at ...this year’s Southern Festival of Books. A new clue will be tweeted daily at noon, Monday through Friday. Twitter followers will then have the opportunity to guess which author fits the clues. The first @SoFestofBooks follower to guess the author correctly wins.
The winner and the featured author of the week will be announced by 5 p.m. CDT each Friday throughout the contest. Weekly contest winners will receive a Speed Reader pass and a 2009 Festival poster. The Speed Reader pass will allow Festival goers to jump to the front of a book-signing line of their choice at the Festival. The Festival will be held in Nashville Oct. 9, 10 and 11.
Must be 18 years or older to play. All answers must be submitted as an @reply to @SoFestofBooks. Direct messages will not be considered.
The Southern Festival of Books is presented by Humanities Tennessee, a non-profit organization that promotes humanities education across Tennessee. The Festival is proudly sponsored by the National Endowment for Humanities, the Metro Nashville Arts Commission, Ingram, Tennessee Arts Commission, the Frist Foundation, Davis Kidd Booksellers and Vanderbilt University.
