Carrie McAliley

Carrie McAliley I have just finished my final rotation in my dietetic internship, completing both my clinical and food service/management at a Sodexo account. I will be graduating this December with my masters and am very interested in the possibility of future employment with Sodexo as a Clinical Dietitian. I was hoping someone cou...ld steer me in the right direction in terms of learning about job opportunities in the state of Florida. Also, several of the dietitians I've worked with worked through sodexo as "reserve dietitians". Is this type of job still available, and if so how do I go about applying?

Natalie,
A Clinical Dietitan position with Sodexo requires candidates to have a Bachelor's degree plus a Supervised Practice Expereince (SPE) such as a Dietetic Internship from an CADE accredited program, and to be eligible to take the certification exam to become a Registered Dietitian. If you have met this requirement you can contact the ... See MoreCommission on Dietetic Registration to work on establishing your eligibility for the exam. If you have not completed a SPE program you can check the ADA website at www.eatright.org for more info on programs. Sodexo offers a Distance Dietetic Internship and you can find more information on that at www.dieteticintern.com. Since being a RD (or eligible for the exam) is the entry level requirement, most paid positions do not offer the opportunity to meet the certification requirements while working in the job.
Hope this answers you questions!
