I need to publicly thank my soltura brother Hai for jumping my car this morning. I was stranded at home on the verge of being late to a degree committee meeting at antioch U. Hai came through in the clutch and brought me jumper cables from Queen Anne. When I thanked him he replied, "that's what brothers are for", (H...ai happens to be on my degree committee as well) what a great friend and loving spirit. You 'da man Hai!!Read More

Soltura is a one of a kind experience. The approach was both empathetic and no-punches-pulled. This experience is a fight for freedom and a place for revelation and realness. I really appreciated the charged, expressive environment that was created there.

Carole is a true professional in this field. Her experience and ...wisdom were manifest throughout the workshop. The best thing I can say is that this is an organization that has its priorities very clearly in order. They are dedicated to doing what WORKS, and do not beat around the bush. [no BS!] Soltura's aim is true and this makes all the difference. If one comes expecting "wishy-washy", he will surely be surprised! This is solid, difficult, and intensely rewarding work.

The scholarship made all the difference for my attendance. Thank you for extending me this opportunity. I experienced real feelings here and I continue to experience real feelings. Tears and sweat are real. These are not experiences to be avoided in these workshops, but instead are honored! An amazing gift.

Everyone gets their miracle -- everyone, even me! I can honestly say that I would not have been able to make that statement before I started my Soltura journey almost six months ago. I came to Soltura out of curiosity, desperation, confusion, loneliness and mostly, fear of myself. I was looking for someone to literally... save my life. To be completely truthful, my expectation of the workshop was very low coming in. I expected I would go home with a band-aid for my problems and after a few short weeks, be right back to where I started. There is no simpler way to put it than -- I was completely wrong. Although my Soltura journey is not over, the tools, concepts and realizations I've taken away from my workshops are anything but a band-aid.

My Part 1 experience cannot be put into words. There are no words powerful enough, they just do not exist. I experienced a profound transformation within myself that reignited the fighter in me. My Part 1 gave me endless amounts of determination and opened my eyes to a world I had been denying myself for so many years. I walked away from Part 1 feeling that I was going to save my life -- I knew my truth and I was going to live it.

My Part 2 was two months ago and not a day goes by that I don't learn something new from it. If I sit quietly and reminisce about my Part 2 experience, I still get chills. The depth of my experience in Part 2 has proven to be endless and gets more powerful everyday. Where my heart and soul felt cold, black and empty before, I now have warm, glowing embers waiting to burst into flames and warm the world. It is my choice when and if I let my heart and soul burst into flames with love and trust. The greatest part of my Part 2 was leaving the workshop with my own, personal coach. I can rely on my coach to give me the answers to any problem, no matter what. My coach is always on speed dial and will answer the call day or night. I have the best coach in the world. My coach is ... myself.

Carole and her facilitators have helped me to see that the greatest gift I could ever receive has been mine all along. My life is worth having me in it -- and there is no greater gift than realizing that. Without their strength, courage and endless amounts of love, I would never have allowed myself to find my truth, let alone live it. Soltura has given me so much more than I ever thought possible. I am alive in every sense of the word and Soltura helped me accept that gift. The comfort of living in Fear is not acceptable to me anymore and I know that it is my choice to choose life everyday. Not to mention, I now have a support group of the most amazing women I've ever met in my life! Soltura has changed my life in so many ways -- I can heal. I can feel. I can be alive. My miracles started because of Soltura! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Breathtaking! And yet a truth all of us who have made that Soltura sojourn know with all that is in our being. That summer 2010 reunion is going to be an auroral event, huh?

I came across this which i thought was pretty illustrative of living in the moment...

"Living in the moment involves a profound paradox: You can't pursue it for its benefits. That's because the expectation of reward launches a future-oriented mindset, which subverts the entire process. Instead, you just have to trust th...at the rewards will come. There are many paths to mindfulness—and at the core of each is a paradox. Ironically, letting go of what you want is the only way to get it."Read More

Carole, Lane, Dave, Steve, Randy, Keith and Shea will appreciate this one... Upon my return from Castles of Silence and Knowledge, I received an invitation to join a non-profit organization that serves people with developmental disabilities by teaching them life skills through... are you ready for this?

Camping trips.

Pr...obably because of my mild temperament in stressful outdoor situations, huh?

To everyone involved in my experience, I will always be in your debt. And you will be in my most knightly thoughts.
