Eye exam insights: Cover test
During a cover test, our doctors will ask you to focus on a small object across the room and cover each of your eyes alternately with an occluder while you are staring at the object.
What does it detect?
A cover test is one of the ways we check how your eyes work together. This test can indicate whether you have an eye turn or a binocular vision problem which can cause eye strain or amblyopia (“lazy eye”).
