Special Olympics Michigan The 20th Anniversary Festival of Trees is this Saturday, November 21 at Breton Village Mall in Grand Rapids beginning at 6 p.m. This annual benefit for athletes of Special Olympics Michigan Area 11 (Kent & Barry Counties) will include an auction of exquisitely decorated trees, wreaths and centerpieces. Special Olympics Michigan SOMI needs volunteers to help at the 27th 5/3 Turkey Trot in Detroit on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday (Nov. 26th). We are looking for volunteers who can help at the Start/Finish Line Area from 6-11 AM. Volunteers will be able to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade from special viewing section and will receive a volunteer ...shirt. If you are interested, please email jim.adams@cmich.edu.
