Thank you to my in-laws for their part in the challenging situations which has helped me to learn, grow and be authentic.

Thank you to people in my past who were difficult to deal with. I learned a lot from them and my turmoils.

I started a "Share the Love!" campaign with my fellow quilters and bloggers by posting a tutorial for making Travel-sized tissue cozies and encouraging them to make them and give two to a friend and ask the friend to keep one and give one away...to Share the Love! (don't share the germs) *bg* Quilters are a very kind bunch!

I participate in Positive Focus "Free Hugs" in Chicago twice a month, volunteer whereever possible and express kindness anywhere I am. I'm hoping it spreads! : )

I was far from home, and having a bad day and a stranger that was next to me in line at the store gave me a discount coupon for some emergency supplies.

Ah yes. We can become fragmented by those who hold hate dear, and have no wish for unity. It takes courage to love and seek no reward. Who ever you are, I love you, have a blessed day.

Spirituality & Practice is my favorite website--so much to explore! The film reviews help me to choose DVDs for our "God in the Movies" viewing & discussion group, and I agree, Marlene, the Brussats' courses are great soul food!

I wish I could say "things are getting better." I can't. I feel we can only discern our own responses, and our own addictions that continue to feed the degradtion of human beings & our host, planet earth. We all are part of the problem, left & right. One can only visit Seattle, and see its addiction to the automobile, cloths, and the newest ... Read Moretech savy gadgets. Seattle is an a mostly white, left of center, democratic city. Yes, I am a democrat of sorts. I am not sure were to gain the hope. I appreciate the acknowledgement of the DVD.

I haven't read this, but the first thought that I had is that it is also ironic that many Americans who serve in the military are low income and that many returning veterans wind up poor due to physical and mental injuries incurred through service. I look forward to reading this excerpt.
