Exactly. Manny Pacquiao has brought boxing back to relevancy. He has transcended his sport. Crime in the Philippines goes down when he fights. He gives money away to poor people. And he's probably the most likable boxer ever. People will pay $65 to see one of his fights without blinking because they know they will be entertained.

These same people would have bought your magazine without thinking if you had put Manny on the cover.

You guys seriously blew this one. Jeter hasn't done anything this year that hasn't been done before. ... See More

Manny just won his 7th belt in 7 different weight classes. What a screw up on SI's part.

I agree wholeheartedly with you Christopher. Jeter is a fine upstanding young man who plays the game the way it should be played. Plus as an added bonus, he is who is also trying to help young kids find their way too.

Musings, observations and the occasional insight in a rather lackluster Week 12 that clearly will save its best for last: Patriots at Saints, where I'll be Monday night in a jacked-to-the-gills Superdome in New Orleans ...

On paper, it seems preposterous. Impossible. How can someone 5-3 survive and thrive in a land populated by giants who reach 7-0 and beyond? But being small of stature doesn't automatically mean coming up short on talent, as Muggsy Bogues proved. ...

sportsillustrated.cnn.com
Thanksgiving is here which means it is time for us to stuff our faces full of food while watching football all day long. Pretty much the daily lifestyle of an NFL offensive lineman now that I think about it. Not too shabby, is it?
