Believe it or not, Christmas is just around the corner! The St. John’s Mercy NICUPS (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Parent Support) has started its annual fundraiser, Letters from Santa. The NICUPs assist families during their baby’s stay in the hospital until they are healthy enough to go home. The volunteer group is f...unded entirely by donations, and some of the valuable services they provide include: Emotional and educational support; free books and other educational materials; family classes and meetings; financial assistance during crisis situations; breast pumps, car seats, gas cards and other necessities for those in need. We used to go every year but the lines have gotten longer & it takes more time for the kids to get the candy & actually enjoy themselves. I think that they should just give each child a bag when they enter the zoo, it would take less time & allow everyone to enjoy the animals. Just my opinion
